One day at the track

Hello... Matu photography stikes once again.

This week I went to my first track day at Zwartkops raceway. I concentrated on my driving rather than photography so I did not get many pictures of the day but I got a chance to practice my action shoots nicely.

Track driving is actually addictive. I never knew I could enjoy my car so much, the adrenaline pumping and the need for speed was just insatiable. On the other side, the instinct of well being sometimes takes over for the new comers like myself and the back of the car tends to get very light and the nerves just force you to lift your heavy foot off the accelerator...big mistake. I rate it's all a learning curve (pun intended) and as soon as I get used to it my times will improve.

I clocked a 1.25,22 mins around Zwartkops race track, not bad for a first time but my expectations were much higher.

Anyways, here are a few pics and a video will be updated in the next few days.

Enjoy :)

The day got off to a rocky start with some serious fog hovering over every road

Finally at the pits everything just seemed better

And some motion pictures...
